Somehow we did it!
Are we talking about the sudden blog switch?
Can you believe Weebly wanted us to pay money for extra media space? That wouldn’t have worked, especially because pictures are super important.
So, hello WordPress. We’ll work with you for now.
Are we also talking about the fact that we are completely moved out of our apartment?
618 Parkview Drive is now vacant (also read: spotless), and we are safe and sound in chilly Upstate New York
Chilly may be an understatement.
It was surreal as we drove the usual route to my parents’ house. Part of me feels as if this is any other weekend visit; spending time together until we have to leave after Sunday dinner to get back for work on Monday morning.
But it’s not.
So for the next two weeks I will hug my mom a little bit longer, drink a few more cups of tea with my sister, laugh at every joke my dad makes (because they are hilarious), and snuggle Milo for as long as he lets me (which is usually a good ten minutes).
Two weeks doesn’t seem like nearly enough time, but such is life.
Then on to Orlando where we will do the same; attempting to savor every small moment with Caleb’s family before we head off to Ohio for training.
We are so grateful that we are able to take the next six weeks to travel and say our goodbyes. Just in the last week, we have seen incredible blessings of God in our lives. Not only are we fortunate enough financially to take six weeks off of work, but we were blessed (and still are blessed) to have a support system in Pennsylvania that made our last week stress free. We were packed and out of our apartment by 10 a.m. yesterday morning, and we didn’t even have to wake up before seven. That in itself is a great thing.
So thank you to anyone that purchased an item from our apartment, or bought us dinner, or gave us encouraging words and promised prayers; your kindness was not overlooked, and we are so, so thankful.
